Director of Kitchen and Food Safety We are looking for the Director of Kitchen and Food Safety to join our team at Chick-fil-A Trabuco Hills Center.
The right candidate for this role will be passionate about supporting Shift Leaders and Team Members.
This leader will help us create a culture of accountability, ensuring we are the best and safest place to eat in Orange County! Your impact:
As a member of the Director Team, you will partner with the Owner/Operator and the Executive Director to help shape and support our team and the operation of the kitchen.
You will lead our back of house Shift Leaders as they pursue our goals of driving continuous improvement, quality control, food safety, and order accuracy.
This candidate will continue to advocate Character, establish Chemistry, and demonstrate Competency with all Guests, Team Members, and Leadership.
The expectation is that all Directors in our business are problem solvers not simply problem identifiers!You will own the operation of our kitchen.
This encompasses:
Food Safety - the safety of our guests is paramount, and something we never compromise on.
You will help us implement food safety systems and hold the team accountable to our very high standards.
Food Quality - when people eat at Chick-fil-A, they expect the food to be hot, delicious, and consistent.
You will help us deliver on that expectation by creating and leading systems and practices that ensure our food is always of the highest quality.
You will manage our LEAN and AHA quality systems, and regularly review reporting to ensure we are compliant.
Food Cost Management - you will own our food cost and waste systems to help usbe better stewards of the resources we've been given.
You will Own our inventory systems, as well as regularly review food cost reporting to identify gaps and implement new systems to close said gaps and improve efficiency.
You will also own our Food Sharing and Donation program, helping us better serve the community by donating uneaten food.

In addition to owning the operation of our restaurants kitchen, you will be responsible for:

Ensure required safety and quality controls are completed daily.
Assess inventory levels for each daypart.

Manage positions of the team members based on performance and training.
Understand and own the LEAN framework and processes in our restaurant.
Ensure food safety standards are being met by shift leaders and team members.
Uphold all employee handbook policies.
Requirements Include:

Spanish language fluency.
Proven experience leading and developing teams.
2-4 years of experience leading kitchens.
Proven experience driving and managing change.
Impeccable integrity and character.
Fulfillment in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail.
Functional knowledge and experience leveraging technology, including inventory systems, checklist systems, reporting systems etc.

Ability to interact well with internal and external customers, employees, and vendors in a highly professional manner.
Must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality while handling sensitive information and materials concerning the organization.
Excellent communication skills.
Chick-fil-A experience is a plus.
