We are a boutique Mission Viejo Family Law firm who is looking for an organized, outgoing and hard-working Jr.
Legal Assistant/Paralegal to help us provide the highest quality and responsive service to our clients.
The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Some legal or office experience preferred.
This position is perfect for someone looking to gain valuable legal experience and learn from our team.
Key
Responsibilities:
Friendly communication with clients via phone, email, and in-person Perform filing, scanning, copying, and follow office file naming conventions General administrative duties to assist attorneys and paralegals, including organizing trial binders, scheduling appointments, managing calendars, filing documents with the court, and handling correspondence Organize and manage case files Drafting basic legal pleadings with guidance from our attorneys Assist in managing legal database and tracking case deadlines Skills and
Qualifications:
Previous phone experience and/or customer service preferred A solid work ethic and a positive attitude Proofreading skills Ability to adopt and follow office protocol Excellent written and verbal communication skills Some proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Gmail, Adobe Acrobat Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
